This is a brand new traditional Japanese Sakabato Samurai Katana. It is the primary weapon used by the character "Himura Kenshin" in the anime series Rurouni Kenshin: Meiji Swordsman Romantic
Story. A sakabato (reverse-edged sword) is a fictional type of Japanese sword. On the normal katana, the outward curved side of the blade is sharpened, while the inward curved side of the blade is blunt. In contrast, the sakabato is made so that the cutting edge is on the side that curves inward. This sword features a reverse blade constructed by 440 stainless steel. The edge of the sword is slightly sharpened. The sword is measured at 40”. The scabbard is lacquered in glossy black paint. A golden Kanji of “Reverse” is stamped on the scabbard. The handle is measured at 10.5” long, and features antique silver finished guard and pommel.
